LeBron James breaks Clevelands Heart

You obviously by now have heard that LeBron James is going to Miami to join Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. The deal instantly makes the Miami Heat the team to beat this coming season, and puts the LA Lakers attempt at a three peat, in serious jeopardy.

Now, I get that LeBron James can pick where he’d like to play, I get that part. I just think he made the wrong decision for a number of reasons. One, he broke his hometowns heart. The dude was born and raised in Akron, and the city showered him with love. I get that he spent seven years there, but you know what? Michael Jordan spent a lot of years in Chicago. Kobe Bryant has spent a lot of years in Los Angeles. Marquee players spend their entire careers to try bring a championship home. If at the absolute tail end of their career they try to join a team to get a championship, that’s cool. Imagine if Trevor Linden was born and raised in Burnaby, and not Medicine Hat, and pulled the same shit. Instead, the franchise kind of pulled it on him. And the city, for a little while at least, walked away from its hockey team. The other reason is the way he did it. How big can one mans ego be? He does a half hour tv special for the ‘the decision’? Are you kidding me? How much more can you rub it the face of Cleveland? In the special, he says that he made his decision that morning. I call bullshit.

Finally, the third and final reason, because as Orlando Magic GM, Otis Smith, says, the good ones do it on their own, they make it happen. This dude couldn’t get shit done for seven years in Cleveland, and they had decent teams. The championship that he and Bosh may win will be cheapened. It won’t carry the same weight as even Dwayne Wades first.

By the way, now that he’s left Cleveland, did his mom really get on the shag with Delonte West?
