The 102nd Grey Cup Week officially starts on Wednesday, November 26th as the main star of the week shows up -the Grey Cup itself. The Grey Cup Festival Organizing Committee, along with Mayor Gregor Robertson, and Commissioner Mark Cohon. The Cup is said to be arriving by sea, with Commissioner Cohon handing it over to the City of Vancouver, and the trophy being blessed by the First Nations community as part of opening day.
The city will slowly fill with CFL fans from around the country, as the Calgary Stampeders are slated to take on the Hamilton TigerCats in the big game this Sunday, but, that won’t stop the streets being flooded with fans from Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, and other cities around Canada, including, yes, BC.
