Game one has come and gone in the Stanley Cup Finals, and your Vancouver Canucks are three games away from hoisting the Stanley Cup. How crazy is that? The deciding goal, the only goal is shown in the clip below. The game was filled with poor refereeing, but equally poor on both ends, which makes it more acceptable. Consistent weak sauce is better than topsy turvy weak sauce.

Few big questions that will linger from this game…

Will Dan Hamhuis return? The rock solid dman went down after a ‘Keith Ballard like’ hip check on Milan Lucic. The hit was the equivalent of Hogan slamming Andre.

Will Alex Burrows be suspended? Burrows who has been so steady this playoffs conjured up classic ‘Burr’ by biting the finger of Patrice Bergeron.

Will Cody Hodgson draw in? Victor Oreskovich and Alex Bolduc each played less than two minutes, Jeff Tambellini played just over that. Those few minutes get their names on the cup once this team is successful. It’d only make sense that CoHo would draw in next.

How will Roberto Luongo and Tim Thomas follow up two absolute stellar performances? Amazing performances in game one.

Will Manny Malhotra play in game 2? I’m thinking yes, it’s a strategic boost to game 2, and has to inspire his teammates to one more level after game one.
