Do we really need unions anymore? Let’s be real, they prevent more progress and work being completed than peoples rights being violated. Latest case in point? Coast mountain bus company and autoworkers local 111. Twenty bus drivers recently were suspended for chatting on their mobile phones while driving. The union is stating that the company didn’t communicate the change well enough to staff. Were sorry since when did being oblivious become a valid defense? The rest of the city seemed to be upto speed on the changes. The union is likely saying that suspending drivers is too harsh, but if these laws are in place to fight dangerous behaviour and tendencies, then why wouldn’t they be punished like any other violation. Jim Houlahan, VP of the union is stating that the drivers face stiffer penalties than that of the public. Well, no shit Jimmy, they also have ten, fifteen times more people in their ride.
Unless you count that VW beetle with the popes in it, that things jammed to the roof!
Now, for something fitting, and strictly gangsta.
It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
