Yes it has, but you know what they say, cocaine is a helluva drug. It’s been a crazy busy week, and we’ve been bombarded with emails on a single topic.
A couple of weeks ago some guy disguised as a dad, decided to leave his kids in his car, windows up of course, while he popped into a pub for a drink. Now, when this story hit, we were in the middle of an absolutely insane heat wave. The kids were said to be suffering from extreme heat exhaustion, had wet and dirtied themselves a few times, and there was even a report that one of their diapers had melted due to the heat. At the time, police stated that the behavior was appalling, and there was plenty of public outcry.
Well, just the other day it was slipped out that that guy will not be facing any criminal charges. The police stated that they did a thorough investigation, but concluded that the dads actions ‘did not ultimately meet the threshold of criminal behavior’. Are you fucking kiddin’ us?
This moron leaves a four month and 2 year old alone in a car, in the middle of a heat wave, windows up, while he pops into the Abbotsford Agrifair Saloon? So, maybe the cops should’ve left him in there, let him come out, start his card, and then bust him for drunk driving? He wasn’t in the place to drink cherry colas. While the children didn’t suffer any long lasting injuries, they do have to live with the fact that their dad is a dumbass.
Look, we don’t know who this dad is, but it’s bullshit. We usually complain about our laws and judges being too soft, but shit, they can’t even arrest this guy! You’re telling me if God forbid, one of these kids died from heat exhaustion, he wouldn’t be charged? We dont’ get how that doesn’t qualify for child endagerment or abuse? We’re not the law, but hell, sometimes we certainly wish we were.
