Phoenix Rising

A lot of people are complaining that the Olympics will bring nothing but pollution, debt, confusion and headache to Vancouver. They forget to mention that it will definitely be bringing some acts to town during those two weeks. We’ve already got our tickets to Feist, and City and Colour, and are now all set for one of our favorite bands at the moment, Phoenix.

Phoenix arrive in our fair town on January 22, just a few weeks before Olympmania grips this city. Performing at the pitch perfect Orpheum, they bring with them popular Indie group, You Say Party! We Say Die!. The four members of the band met in grade school in the city of Versailles, France. Their music can be classified as a dance rock fusion.

Tickets are still available and go from $32 to $38.
