Musical Goodness II

We’re not entirely sure why we originally thought Fleet Foxes hailed from Nova Scotia, maybe it’s because a few similar sounding bands hail from ‘God’s Country’. Maybe it’s because we really hoped this band was Canadian, but they’re from ‘Vancouver South’, Seattle. A five piece group that describes its work as ‘baroque harmonic pop jams’. Their lyrics are fantastic and the delivery is fantastic.

We’re always bringing you good music, and this is no different, check out a live version of the fantastic ‘Blue Ridge Mountains’. It’s a performance on Nigel Godrich’s ‘From the Basement’. If you’re unfamiliar with In the Basement, you really should get familiar. Filmed in HD, and a real emphasis on being artist friendly, so the performances are top notch. And, that’s exactly what this Fleet Foxes performance can be described as. Top Notch.
