MMA Trade Show moving from Abbotsford to Vancouver

Remember the MMA Expo that has been touted around online for the last little while? Well, it’s going from Abbotsford over to Vancouver. Why? Abby police warned that there would be a lot of gang affiliates at the event, and that they’d have to staff it as such. What does that picture look like? Think 8 to 16 officers, all working overtime contributing to the costs of running this gig. The PNE has decided to take them in. Why? Because, there are no fights whatsoever at the MMA Expo, only booths and information sessions.

It’s a typical trade show. This has undoubtedly killed the MMA Expo’s attendance, has many folks won’t look for the updated information on it being moved. Those who do look, will likely see that it’s more trade show than fight show, and likely won’t show. It’s not much different than the PNE with all of those booths trying to sell you things. Snore.

Why would you go to this? Sure, the number of Ed Hardy sporting dudes will be staggering, but how long can even they hang around? Walking up and down aisles of gloves and bags?
