Leslie Nielsen 1926-2010

The world was saddened today by the sudden passing of Leslie Nielsen at the age of 84. Nielsen had been battling complications from pneumonia over the past 12 days and was pronounced dead Sunday evening at a hospital in Florida while surrounded by his family.

The Canadian funny man was best known for his roles as Detective Frank Drebin in the popular comedy movie trilogy ‘Naked Gun’ as well as Dr. Rumack in the hilarious 80′s film ‘Airplane.’ He was the recipient of a star on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Canada’s Walk of Fame but his most memorable moment would have to be his one liner amidst crisis in the air in ‘Airplane’ when he uttered one of the most famous lines in all of cinema.
