I ain’t gettin’ on no plane!
There are few shows that stand out in our childhood more than The A-Team. It was an instant classic, and had some extremely memorable characters, with some fantastic catch phrases, including the one in the title. At the end of the day, maybe the thing that really judges if a tv show has reached cult status, is the number of t shirts you could make off of it.
B.A Baracus, Hannibal, Face, Murdoch, they all had that unique personality trait, and in a span of 6 minutes, all of them would get together and make some pretty amazing machinery. Of course, they were exceptionally good at coming up with costumes as well. And as they tried to evade arrest, being outlaws after all, they never were able to get caught, even though they rode in the same awesome van, and B.A had 14 pounds of gold around his neck. Watching the reruns now is nowhere close to being the same, the campiness almost seems too much. If only they could make an up to date movie of the show. Well, hold your horses.
They are making a movie, and if you’re sick of the Twilight in Vancouver coverage, you’ll be glad to know that it’s being filmed in Vancouver. So far, bits and bobs of the cast have been rumoured and confirmed. Bradley Cooper of ‘The Hangover’ has been picked to play Face, which makes sense. He would seem to be perfect for the role. Liam Neeson has seemingly come on board to play Hannibal. A bit of a surprise, but we’re sure the extremely underrated actor will be able to pull it off. Of course, the question that’s on everybody’s mind is, who will play B.A Baracus, the role made famous by Mr. T. We’ve heard everyone from Ice Cube, Tyrese, to UFC fighter, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. If we had our way, we’d pick Ice Cube, largely because he can actually act. Although, Jackson could make for a great cameo.
The rest is a little up in the air, Howling Mad Murdoch, has not been decided although rumor has it that Sharlto Copley of District 9 may be taking on the role.
Now, it’s just time to roll the cameras… ‘Hannibal’s on the jazz!’

Where’s the love love?!? What happened to murdoch’s head!
I love it when a plan comes together. Can’t wait for this one to hit the screens. I grew up on the A-Team. My parents even took my brother and I to the A-Team show at Universal Studios mid-80′s. Faceman was my favourite… even when I was the tender age of 7. I just can’t picture Liam Neeson as Hannibal. He doesn’t have grey hairs and I just can’t picture him without an accent. The Coop… great casting.
