Don’t Believe the Hype

This past weekend saw a key part of the Olympics carry over: lineups. Hundreds upon hundreds of folks lined up in delta for the 2010 assets liquidation sale. Of course folks lined up with no real understanding of what was going up for sale. Sure people we’re saying TVs, but which kind? It was only a hour of a lineup to find out that they were used 720p hd TVs for near retail prices. A couple of hours later and you realize that all electronics are sold out. A couple of hours after that? You’re buying a highlighter just for the sake of buying something. Sales of this sort are like big rivalry hockey games, they rarely live up to the hype.
